Bethlehem Priory Confraternity of the Holy Rosary

The Bethlehem Priory Order of St. Benedict, Servants of Jesus invites all members of the G4, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Eastern Catholic Churches  who feel a calling to honor the Lord Jesus Christ with the Blessed Virgin Mary in prayer to join the Bethlehem Priory Confraternity of the Holy Rosary.  Members of other jurisdictions  will be considered on a case by case basis.

There are currently two acceptable Rosaries (both involve the

Blessed Virgin Mary) that a Confrater has a choice to pray each week.  Option 1 is the Dominican Rosary (St. Dominic); Option 2 is the Rule of the Theotokos (St. Seraphim of Sarov).

Dominican Rosary Mysteries:

Joyful (Monday/Saturday)

Luminous (Thursday),

Sorrowful (Tuesday/Friday),

Glorious (Wednesday/Sunday)

Rule of the Theotokos Mysteries

Monday: Decades 1-5

Tuesday: Decades 4-8

Wednesday: Decades 6-10

Thursday: Decades 4-8

Friday: Decades 6-10

Saturday: Decades 11-15

Sunday: Decades 11-15

We ask only three things:

1) That Confraters pray all 20 mysteries of the selected Rosary once a week;

2) That at the conclusion of your Rosary prayer, you include a few special prayer intentions for your parish;

3) That Confraters promise to pray at least one office a day from a Prayer Book  (whether it’s a traditional Anglican, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Lutheran) as a part of your devotional life.  Alternatively, for the truly serious, something like the Anglican Breviary or the Liturgy of the Hours.

4) That Confraters consider supporting the ministry of the Priory as they are able.

Benefits of joining the Confraternity:

  1. Develop a strong devotion to Jesus our King as we honor His Mother, Blessed Mary Ever-Virgin.

  2. When you commit to the Rosary Confraternity, you are joining a band of warriors engaged in spiritual battle. We need as many warriors in the fight as we can get.

  3. Its a great place to begin  if you feel God might be calling you to a vocation, such as an oblate and/or monk.

Anyone who wishes to join the Confraternity is welcome request  an application.  We would LOVE to have you became a member.
